Our Books
We’re so lucky to have been able to work on a broad range of books by some fantastic authors over the years, a number of whom have gone on to become agented and published by industry big-hitters such as Hachette, HarperCollins, Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, Bloomsbury, and more. See below for a small selection of Cornerstones titles.

"Having Monica Chakraverty at Cornerstones look at my work was invaluable. From the start, her advice was consistent. This was then continued once I had acquired representation. Monica's support meant a great deal to me - I learnt a lot, but I have also benefitted from her kind support and encouragement beyond it."

"Cornerstones gave me a shot of confidence when I had very little left. Since then I've landed an amazing agent, shortly followed by multiple deals from publishers, most of which were pre-empts/auctions. It all still feels very surreal and I hope to get my feet on the ground some time soon."

"After an initial assessment of the synopsis and first chapter, Helen chatted to me about the various options and recommended a mentor for me to work with. Jonathan Eyers was absolutely fantastic. His insights really helped to challenge me, develop my style and find my voice. Thanks to Jonathan’s guidance my debut psychological suspense, ‘The Perfect Daughter’ has now been published by Boldwood Books as part of a four book deal."

"I approached Cornerstones after several rejections of my novel. I knew something was putting of agents and publishers, but I didn't know what. I realized I needed help from someone with editorial experience in publishing. Cornerstones provided the help I needed, and more! My editor did a thorough editorial review of the novel that allowed me to face the revision process with confidence. I made changes based on my editor's suggestions and send it back out on submission. Shortly afterward my novel was accepted for publication."

"My Cornerstones editor was thorough, detailed, and always positive. I could not recommend them more to get your manuscript in shape. Thanks to the team I went on to secure an incredible agent and publisher. Thank you Cornerstones for making a dream come true!"

"I think, for me, the most important aspect of working with Cornerstones is the feeling of taking yourself seriously as a writer. It is a big investment to think of having professional feedback in this way but I’d received so many rejections while also feeling that I couldn’t give up on these characters and this story just yet."

"I Am What I Am" by Joan Hannington, now adapted into an award-winning TV series

"I consider enrolling in Edit Your Novel in September 2018 to be one of the best writing decisions I have ever made... Ultimately, it left me with the understanding that novel-writing ability is not innate or instinctive; all you need is a willingness to learn. I’m still learning, even now. There’s still plenty I don’t know, but this was the start of that journey."

"I’ve just had the thrilling experience of signing with a top agent, which would not have happened without Cornerstones’ help. Helen and her team read my MS from start to finish, provided invaluable feedback, arranged agency introductions and here I am! It was worth every penny and I can’t thank you enough."

"Editorial support and mentorship from a Cornerstones editor was hugely helpful in shaping my debut novel Friend Request. Published in 2017, Friend Request was a Sunday Times top ten and Kindle No.1 bestseller, was translated into twenty-five languages and optioned for TV. "

But I persevered, acquiring that thick skin that all creative people must grow, sending them my next book and the one that followed that. I have now written over fourteen books, mixing my genres and target markets, simply because I love to write."

"Cornerstones paired me with a fantastic editor, Ben, who helped me to turn my raw draft into a submittable one. That is something that will stay with me forever."
